Medical Interests
The reason I chose family medicine is because it is a specialty that really allows you to connect with your patients one-on-one and help the whole community. I volunteered at many clinics before medical school and fell in love with preventative medicine. Also, I love being able to get to know and treat whole families!
About
My fondest memories in medical school are being able to volunteer in free clinics in the community. We were really able to reach out and educate the community about preventative medicine and practices. In addition, I made some great friends and met my future husband!
In high school and currently, my favorite hobbies were tennis, rock climbing and yoga. I occasionally like to take hikes and have been enjoying Georgia’s great outdoors. Boating on the lake with family and friends has been a great pastime this summer.
Why did you choose NGMC GME?
I rotated at NGMC in February right before I submitted my rank list, and absolutely loved it! The warm faculty and residents really made me feel that this was an accepting and comfortable environment to learn and grow in. The hospital had state of the art facilities and big focus on resident wellness.
