About

Dr. Parag grew up in Jacksonville, Florida and moved to Morgantown, West Virginia where he attended West Virginia University and then medical school at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Parag is very happy to move south again and looking forward to some warmer winters!

Dr. Parag loves to travel and has been fortunate to travel to 15 different countries so far with many more on his wish list. He plans to hopefully participate in a yearly international medical trip as well. In his spare time, Dr. Parag enjoys working out, playing basketball and tennis, watching sports (especially the Jacksonville Jaguars) and spending time with family and friends.

“Through my work at Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC), I’ve had the privilege of working alongside some of the most knowledgeable, empathetic, and thoughtful medical professionals. The nurses, doctors, and other staff make NGMC a great working environment for me. I look forward to all the growth and opportunity at NGMC as I complete my internal medicine residency.”

What are your goals during residency training?

I plan to pursue a fellowship in nephrology.
