About
Why did you choose a career in Family Medicine?
I wanted to be able to see patients of all ages and to be able to form great relationships with my patients. Family Medicine keeps me on my toes because I never know who will walk through the door!
What are some of your fondest memories of medical school?
I saw all the big Marvel movies with a group of my closest friends. We managed to sneak several pizza boxes into the theater!
What were your favorite clubs/activities in high school?
I loved art class and playing soccer in high school – even though I wasn’t very good.
What are your hobbies?
I love creating any sort of art from drawing, painting and photography to upcycling old furniture.
What drew you to pursue the Family Medicine Residency Program at NGMC?
I remember having a lot of fun on my interview day. Though there was only one class of residents at the time I interviewed, it felt like their opinion mattered and there was a good sense of comradery in the group. It felt like a place that would challenge me to grow but also a place I could call home.
For those folks not from Georgia, why was Georgia a state you pursued for your residency training?
Even though I’m not originally from Georgia, I have done pretty much my entire higher education from college onwards here – so it feels like home away from home. The program is also really close to home, so I can easily visit family when I am feeling homesick.
