Dr. Linu Chandy Joseph is a dedicated and accomplished Family Medicine physician with a passion for providing high-quality healthcare to her patients.
Dr. Joseph’s professional journey began with her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Georgia in Athens, GA. With a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia, she completed her residency at Mayo Clinic, where she also served as chief resident.
Currently, Dr. Joseph holds the position of core faculty at the Family Medicine Residency program at Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) in Gainesville, GA. Dr. Joseph has demonstrated her commitment to excellence and patient well-being by actively participating in various institutional and departmental administrative responsibilities and committee memberships.
Dr. Joseph’s exceptional leadership skills led her to serve as the physician practice champion for NGMC Population Health, where she strives to improve healthcare outcomes for the community. She is a valued member of the Physician Leadership Council at Northeast Georgia Physicians Group. Additionally, she has played a crucial role as the administrative chair of the Quality and Patient Safety Council at the group, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Her commitment to professional development and leadership has been acknowledged through her participation in the CHAMPS Transformational Leadership Fellowship program at Morehouse School of Medicine.
Dr. Joseph’s research interests include improving patient outcomes and enhancing the quality of care. She has been involved in several research projects, such as evaluating the potential delay in treatment initiation for osteoporosis in postmenopausal women and developing a clinical decision support application to improve patient outcomes. Her contributions to the medical field are further demonstrated by her publications in reputable journals, including American Psychologist and Family Physicians Inquiries Network.
As a dedicated educator, Dr. Joseph has shared her knowledge and insights through various oral and poster presentations at national and international conferences. Her expertise in utilizing public health data, implementing integrated mental health services, and developing clinical decision support systems has been recognized in her invited extramural lectures and presentations.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Joseph finds joy in running and reading. She believes in maintaining a balanced lifestyle to promote overall well-being.
